Interesting design, but it could use some fabric modifications.

This project file is Burgoyne Surrounded by Irish recoloured. Much prettier than the original!
The mixture of shapes is still interesting, and much more suitable for the lady of the house.

I have had a lot of fun using traditional quilt blocks in ways that are not traditional, including Irish Chains.
Love both these designs, but I think there are a lot of applique blocks which would work better than those I am using in this project file.

More Irish tangles, with both applique and quilting included. The pieced blocks are easy, the applique is only a small portion of the quilt.

The quilt was in pretty rough shape, but it just called to me. I bought it for the tag price of $5 because I loved the uniform bold blue squares and the clever quilting. I mention the quilting because what looks like many small white pieces ...

Single, Double and Triple Irish Chain blocks all mixed up … and I like the results.
Still liking it.
Still liking it even though there are no Double Irish Chain blocks in the last design.
